Wedding Sneak Peek...

During my trip to Calgary, I was lucky enough to fly out to Kelowna British Columbia to be in my friends wedding party.

I am definitely no wedding planner, but I had such a blast helping my friend Jill plan/decorate her wedding. For months we e-mailed, texted, and chatted on the phone trying to iron out every detail. I couldn't be happier with the results. Plus, the weather was perfect, the venue was incredible, and the food was delicious!

We had the ceremony in a wooded area just beside the venue. Even though the ceremonies are not traditionally held in this spot on the property, it was absolutely perfect.

We splurged on gold chiavari chairs (worth every penny in my opinion) and simply hung tassel banners between two trees.

Here is a peek inside the wedding from my phone pics...

Jill had these signs custom made. I love them.

For the aisle, we simply took clear mason jars, filled them with baby's breath, and hung them from the sides of the chairs.

It just felt magical.

And how cute are they?

We set up this little table at the front of the reception for the book sign-in, cards & gifts, seating charts, and menu boards.
Jill found these old wood window frames at the local salvage yard, painted the frames mint, and added a chalkboard to the backs.
Amazing.

Unfortunately the day didn't go completely as planned, the roses we ordered for the center pieces were suppose to be pale pink.
They arrived hot pink...a little frustrating but we made it work.
The centerpieces are simply mason jars spray painted mint with hydrangeas from Costco. We paired those with a clear mason jar with a piece a lace tied around it for the roses.
The table numbers were old gold frames with the insides painted with chalkboard paint.

The favors were Macrons in a white box and tied with a simple mint or gold bow.

I can't get over how amazing Jill looked.
Doesn't hurt that she is such a babe.

All the bridesmaids wore mint dresses with gold accessories.

I can't wait to see the professional photos of this amazing day.
It really was perfect.

Also, I plan on putting together a post with all the details of the items we ordered for the wedding...so hang tight!

My Interview on withHEART!

I hope you are not sick of seeing my home yet!
I promise to switch things up around here soon, but today I am over at withHEART being interviewed about my interior design style by the fabulous Jen!

Jen brought the talented Veronica Reeve with her to photograph my home.
It has been fun to see my home photographed by two different photographers, I love them both!

Head on over here to see more of my home tour and hear what I have to say about my style, what I looked for when purchasing my condo, and how to design on a dime!

My Home Tour!

Wow, it's been a while. A plan to take a few days off quickly turned into a week. How does time go by so fast?

I just flew back last night from my 12 day trip to Calgary. I hadn't been back to Canada in over a year due to my complicated pregnancy, and I must admit it felt so good.

While I was there, I was a bridesmaid in a highschool friends wedding. What a blast. I also helped her with the decorations, I'll show you bits and pieces of that later this week!

Also, I am excited to show you the pictures from my condo photo shoot with Jylare.
I received them this week and couldn't be happier.

Since our big move to Boise Idaho is only a few weeks away, I am thrilled to have these pictures of my condo. I'm sure one day I'll look back on these and miss the good 'ol days of medical school.

A big thanks to Jylare Smith Photography for her amazing work behind the camera...my place never looked so good.

Oh, and did I mention that I sold this little place?
Feel free to call me a realtor...

My Family Video by Lumineux Films

Several months before Theo was born, I contacted Jenner Brown from Lumineux Films about making a video of my family once Theo arrived. We decided to go with a video instead of newborn pictures, and boy, I don't regret it one bit.

We filmed this about 10 days after he was born.

Yesterday Jenner sent me the finished product and I am in love.
He is so talented.

This video captures so many things that make me smile. My tiny Theo, bruised wrists, our little condo, the big sister, my tired eyes, and my sweet husband.

I hope you enjoy it too!

Mom Chic Feature: A Little About My Fashion Style!

A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to have the talented Veronica Reeve photograph me and my kiddos for the Mom Chic feature on the adorable blog with HEART.

I share a few tid-bits about my fashion style, favorite stores, and budget saving ways.

I know I have mentioned a little bit about with HEART before when I shared Ruby’s nursery reveal, but guys, I am in love with this blog.

The beautiful Jen Stagg writes inspiring posts about motherhood, pregnancy, fashion, fitness, food, everything really!

Oh and did I mention that last week she interviewed Katie Couric? Told you she was big time.
So if she interviewed me as well, does that make me as cool as Katie?
Doubtful, but I can pretend.

You can go here to check out my Mom Chic feature.
Thanks Jen!

Client Update: The Perfect Wallpaper

This weekend I ordered this wallpaper (Daydream by Hygge & West) for a client. Her daughter is about to be the luckiest little girl. This stuff makes me drool...for real.

There is just something about it.
It is the perfect amount of whimsical, pop of color, scale, and playfulness.
It is dreamy in a nursery.

Killer in an entryway.

{image from Boston Magazine}

And perfect in a bathroom.
Can this wallpaper do wrong?

I can't wait to show you what else we have planned for the space.
Let's just say, I want it all for myself!

Affordable Accessories for Under $20.00!

A couple weeks ago Emily Henderson wrote this article discussing the details about styling interiors for photo shoots.
If you are a designer, stylist, or just want to feel good about your house....go here to read it!
She confirms what we all suspect, Emily brings in the final layer of accessories for a photo shoot (cause almost no-one can afford all the finishing touches) and then removes the majority of them after the shoot.

Which means...it's totally normal to have a house missing the final layer. Phew, I am normal!

But if you are on hunt for some affordable accessories to add the final layer to your home, I found a few of my favorites!

All of these are under $20.00...

How cute it this Floral Jewelry Box from Urban Outfitters from Urban Outfitters for $14.99.
These Patterned Boxes storage boxes from $19.99 are adorble.
I am a lover of gold and this Be Brave Print for $10.00 is on my wish list.
This $19.99 Pillow from West Elm is perfect.
I think everyone should own this Black & White Striped Blanket from Ikea for $19.99.
I neeeeeeed this Gold Bowl from Target for $19.99.
These Gold Animals for $9.99 from Target are the cutest.

And these are under $30.00...

I love this modern white ceramic elephant for from Z Gallerie for $24.95.
This floral pillow from West Elm is $29.99 and would be perfect for spring.
I might need to purchase this bolster pillow from Target for $24.99.
I adore this standing pug for $29.95 and I am pretty sure Emory would love it too.
I am sucker for yellow and this Target mirror for $29.99 has stolen my heart.
This is the perfect vase from West Elm for $23.00.
I love love love this throw from Target for $24.99.

Although I am sure we were all aware that interiors are styled for photo shoots, I was a little surprised to what extent. I never realized it was the whole final layer, or even that pieces of furniture were swapped out.

Who is feeling a little better about their house now?!
